CSI: Sea Lion Unit

Sea lions actually not assassinated, say officials

Posted at 10:48 AM on 08 May 2008

Sea lion.
Think the twisty tale of the Bonneville Dam sea lions can't get any twistier? Think again! The six sea lions that were reported to have been assassinated over the weekend were not in fact killed by gunshots, officials now say. The cause of death is still unknown; human involvement has not been ruled out, but investigators are also considering the role of dehydration, heat exhaustion, or panic.

Very fishy

So who closed the traps?

This story gives the vague appearance of a cover-up.  Presumably the signs of death by gunshot were clear enough, immediately, that that was the confident report initially made.  Now, all of a sudden, we are hearing of no bullets or bullet wounds anywhere, just old non-lethal bits of metal in the blubber?

The Fish and Wildlife people should not be doing the necropsies.  An independent group of veterinarians should be handling that.

Chickens deserve our true friendship! So do fish! So do other sentient beings! Let us learn to be kind.

I am not buying it!

The "We kill wildlife" - oh I mean "The Fish and Wildlife" people are probably washing the blood of their hands right now! -

Humans killed those poor and innocent seals and we all know it!

So whatever cover up these murders are selling, I am not buying it!

I only have this one life, so I am going to try my very best to make a positive change. --- The Happy & Healthy Vegan ---
