In the environmental community, spills are bad news. They get chemicals in places no one wants chemicals. They damage plants and animals. They are hard to clean up. When trucks crash on highways and their contents spill out, all of these negatives apply. Especially if what’s spilled is not particularly biodegradable, like the paint that spilled on the highway outside of Manaus, Brazil. But it’s hard to remember all that when you see how pretty the spill is:

According to Espigao News, the municipal cleaning crew that was sent to respond was able to keep the paint contained on the road. It’s bound to fade eventually, but this is one spill that we wouldn’t be in a hurry to clean up.
