Frankie the Jack Russell terrier had never been on a train before, but apparently he wasn’t satisfied to watch England’s rail system operate from afar. So he decided to take matters into his own paws — first walking two miles to the train station, then hopping a rush-hour commuter train to London. He made it 50 miles, which is 350 miles in dog miles!

After wandering the aisles of the crowded train, Frankie finally settled on a window seat, where he was probably a little bummed that he couldn’t hang his head out the window.

Frankie’s human family had to pay nearly $100 to take the train down to London and pick him up, but Frankie got to ride for free, which is just more evidence that if you want to make the most of public transportation, it pays to be adorable.
