Stop talking about my parents having sex!! (Photo by Huang Zhiling.)

Fans of (slightly weird) adorableness are having a good week, as a panda named Yuan Yuan at Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in southwest China gave birth to her fourth cub.

The cub was conceived naturally, which is unusual because female pandas are only fertile for a few days each year, and in captivity, those days aren’t necessarily during the same period that males are interested in mating.  It is also unusual given that there were no wine bottles, candles, or Massive Attack albums found in the parents’ cage around the time of conception.
