Americans United for Change is running a new ad in the DC market praising Congress for passing the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES).
“Last month, Congress met President Obama’s challenge to create millions of clean energy jobs — not in India or China, but right here, in America,” the ads say.
But wait! “Congress” hasn’t passed a climate bill yet.
The House passed the bill last week, but that super-important-other-half-of-Congress, better known as the Senate (or “Crusher of Dreams” as some may call it) has yet to take it up. Senators are expected to work on their own plan this summer, but likely won’t vote until the end of September, at the earliest.
So, Americans United … you might want to rework that ad a bit.
