Addendum: I don’t know how much it will end up costing to substantially reduce our global greenhouse gas emissions. My strong suspicion is that in the long-term it will have a net positive economic effect. But whatever the case, I’m willing to say with a fair degree of certainty that it will not cost $553 trillion over the course of the century. Good grief.
