Now you have that song in your head, don’t you?
As the Olympics kick off in Beijing next year, the infamous torch will travel 85,000 miles, the longest relay in Olympic history. Its ascension to the top of Mount Everest will be aided by a brand-new 67-mile highway. Um … China? Methinks this is not the best way to support your claim that you’re trying, really trying, to have a green Games.
In other news, I would just like to say that I totally beat the Gray Lady to the punch about the world’s first carbon-neutral soccer team in Boulder, Colo. However, the New York Times story has what mine was lacking: blue-footed boobies, three-foot-long snakes, a bouncy castle, and the age-old question: “Who would people rather listen to, George W. Bush or David Beckham?”
OK, NYT, you win.
