Climate hawkery requires no particular position on climate science
I want to correct one mistake people seem to be making about the climate hawk/dove spectrum. Being a climate hawk does not require any particular position on climate science. There is no scientific "litmus test." In fact, one's position on the hawk/dove spectrum is orthogonal to one's position on climate science.

My first and last 'climate hawk' follow-up
I want to thank everyone for the excellent discussion that's taken place around the term "climate hawk." I'm going to round up some reactions, offer one or two more thoughts, and then explain why my fondest hope is for this discussion to end and for simple usage to begin.

Friday music blogging: Mark Ronson & the Business Intl
Mark Ronson is the hipster's hipster. He was born of wealthy London socialites, came to renown DJing at downtown New York City hot spots, became a successful producer (he's responsible for Amy Winehouse's debut), released a few acclaimed solo albums, dated a few models, and is now fronting Mark Ronson & the Business Intl, whose debut album Record Collection came out recently. It would be easy to hate a guy with such a charmed life, but he sure knows how to make catchy music.
