“This pothole looks like it was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted!”

West Side Rag reports that this unfortunate driver tried to get to New Jersey by turning west onto the stairs leading down to Riverside Park. The pedestrian stairs. Because cars can’t climb stairs. Which you know, and I know, but apparently this guy and more importantly his GPS did not know.

Honestly, he would have been SOL even if he could get the car down into the park, because between Riverside Park and New Jersey there is also a river. Hence the name. Can we find out what GPS or mapping app this driver was using, so I can avoid it for the rest of my life?

My cousin’s fiancée: NOT LOCAL

Me: He is now! He’s not going anywhere.

My cousin: “Temporarily Local Man Permanently Dumb.”
