The kind of oil spill most fashion models are familiar with probably involves tanning oil. Famous photographer Steven Meisel makes sure this wilting flower experienced something a little less “D&B” and a little more “BP.”
Vogue Italia has a new fashion spread featuring an oily model spread across the pages of darkened sand like it’s going out of style. Black feathers. Fishnets. Malnourished mammals. A scantily clad woman. It’s hard to tell the difference between this clothing ad and a scene from the Gulf.
What do you think: Is this a crude art form? Because it looks like a fashion faux paux to us.
