Remember the best Kickstarter ever? The one where the fourth-grade classroom raised more money than they ever dreamed to make their classroom solar-powered? This project was so good that the U.S. government took notice and made this great video, celebrating the project and giving a closer look at the teacher and the students that made it happen:
I love the idea of “Flip the Switch Day.” While we’d never advocate stealing from children, we do think the Department of Energy should borrow this idea and make it a national phenom — a day when homes, classrooms, and communities around the country switch from dirty old fuel sources to renewable ones. Also if we could all get “Solar System Tour Guide” badges, that’d be great.
