Boy & Bear is an Australian indie band composed of five singer-songwriters who drifted over from various other bands. They formed in 2009, but their Nashville-recorded debut LP, Moonfire, just came out last month.
To tell you the truth, I can’t even remember downloading it. It just popped up on shuffle one day and grabbed me immediately. I’m going to say it sounds like Arcade Fire meets Mumford & Sons, even though I’m well aware how douchey that makes me sound. I just can’t resist the melodrama + big harmonies formula.
This song is called “Milk & Sticks.”
