It’s clear that climate change isn’t one of Gibson’s usual talking points (he got a bit of a shaky start, fishing for the word “anthropogenic”). He’s concerned not because he’s a soapboxer, but because he’s a thoughtful, intelligent person with an interest in how humanity will think and act in years to come. You don’t need to be a hippie to give a shit about climate change — you can just be a cyberpunk with a realistic outlook.
