Peddler’s Creamery

Bikes. Ice cream. Two wonderful things. Put them together and you’ve got … a bike that churns ice cream? Sure. Los Angeles resident Edward Belden has managed to unite his long-term loves and has created an ice cream machine powered by a bicycle. What a lucky guy. We tried to unite our long-term loves and all we got was James McAvoy in Rag & Bone shoebooties.

It works pretty well, too; it takes only three or four minutes of pedaling to make five gallons of ice cream. The store, in downtown Los Angeles, is called Peddler’s Creamery, and it now has six employees (and they’re hiring). Yes, this is like the most hipstery thing ever. But who cares. Bikes. Ice cream. Righteous!

Of course, all of these good intentions mean nothing without good Yelp reviews, such as “Five Stars … The ice cream is beautifully homemade and luscious.” And downtown L.A. is awesome. So it’s not just win-win here. It’s win-win-win.
