On Thursday, Sept. 11, I will be hosting a discussion about providing food to people who need it and supporting local farms. It’s at 9:30 a.m. Pacific / 12:30 p.m. Eastern on Google+.
We’ll be using a case study to get into this: Double Up Food Bucks. It’s been running for five years in Michigan, and there’s money available through the Farm Bill to start similar programs elsewhere. I’ve written about it here and here. People who are interested in working on something similar might find this especially useful.
