Last week I recorded an episode of with Jim Manzi, a tech entrepreneur and frequent blogger on conservative websites on the subject of climate change. Manzi is known as one of the (few) reasonable conservatives on the subject — he accepts IPCC science, for starters. But he doesn’t think IPCC results justify the kind of massive emission reduction efforts under discussion in Copenhagen. Obviously I disagree!

In our discussion, we touched on the “climategate” faux-scandal, the question of developed world responsibility for climate change, the economics of climate change mitigation, and the possibilities of liberal/libertarian agreement on mitigation strategies.

Thanks to Manzi for the rare reasonable, congenial discussion across the aisle on these issues. It was fun! (Again, I apologize for the crappy sound/video on my computer — not sure what to do about it.)
