cars were the fix, so Congress made a bet: Give people cash and they will trade their clunking old Corvette. And boy, they did! In drives — uh, droves — till we ran out of dough. Now sliiiightly more efficient rides are always on the go.
If we can’t change the climate with a 2 m.p.g. bribe
Perhaps there is another way we can convert this tribe. They still love dirty coal and oil and gas and even nukes, But maybe they will see the light if we start selling cukes!
