Okay, he’s talking about Iraq, but the lesson holds for climate change, as well as all the sundry environmental crises we face:
I think a not addressed enough point is that there are really two choices: 1) George Bush continues to f**k things up 2) Something happens to force a change in policy.
There is no option 3)…
Without putting Grist’s non-profit status at risk, let’s just say there are politicians who understand the risks of environmental calamity, and there are those who don’t. Either you support politicians who are proposing change, or you don’t.
There is no option 3.
