The U.S. economy could get a real boost if the nation makes a serious effort to cut carbon-dioxide emissions, according to a new study by the Tellus Institute and World Wildlife Fund. By 2010, some 870,000 jobs could be created and $43 billion a year could be saved as a result of cutting energy use and developing new clean-energy technologies.
