The Canadian Encyclopedia (really! The first result when you google “black iceberg”!) says that “black ice is of high density and bubble free; dark layers indicate the presence of rock materials derived from the base of the parent glacier.” But I prefer to believe that this iceberg is just goth as fuck. Maybe it’s in mourning for all the melting glaciers. Or maybe its life is just a dark room. One big … dark … room.
