Watch Florida foodies catch venomous fish and make goat cheese
The Perennial Plate’s sixth episode of The Victory Garden’s Edible Feast takes us to the land of eternal sunshine, legions of retired Parrotheads, and, apparently, some pretty dedicated foodies and gardeners. You guessed it: We’re goin’ to Florida, kids.
Host Daniel Klein visits Palm Beach, where he interviews young fishermen who are protecting the coast from invasive lionfish; an art director-turned-farmer who makes cheese with purebred Nubian goat milk; a quirky backyard gardener; and a chef who shows us how to serve that previously mentioned invasive fish with black rice and vegetables. Now, to find the salt shaker for a nice margarita.
