Baby pygmy slow lorises (lorii?) can’t catch a break. They’re illegally sold as pets, going extinct, and eaten by usually vegetarian orangutans if snacks are scarce.
But just because you can’t own one doesn’t mean you can’t watch one be adorable at the San Diego Zoo:
Jesus, those big eyes get me every time. I swear the baby pygmy slow loris is Zooey Deschanel in animal form. (Or maybe “Slow Loris” is Zooey Deschanel’s pity friend?)
