So OK, it’s not an orphaned baby thanking her caretaker; it’s an elephant born in captivity at Germany’s Hellabrunn Zoo. And she’s giving that zookeeper a head-butt and a trunk-hug not out of gratitude, but because this is apparently just how baby elephants show affection. Exhibit B:
