Justin Evidon

Recently graduated architect Hank Buttita’s newest project is the perfect combination of tiny housing, reuse, and nostalgia. He tricked out an old school bus with a kitchen and bathroom, convertible seating/beds, storage, and a handsome wooden floor made of boards repurposed from a gym.

Buttita, his brother Vince, and photographer Justin Evidon spent more than three months fixing up the bus, which Buttita bought on Craigslist for $3,000. (He’s spent about twice that much improving it.) Now they’re doing a cross-country tour, seeing sights like Yellowstone and Devil’s Tower and the Pacific Coast. Sounds pretty good to us — even if the “three dudes in a school bus” formula calls up unpleasant memories of noogies and farts.
