Here’s some screen time that will make you seriously hungry — The Perennial Plate is coming to public TV!

James Beard Award-winning filmmakers (and Grist regulars) Daniel Klein and Mirra Fine will be using their drool-worthy talents on a new PBS show, Victory Garden’s Edible Feast. A reboot of long-running gardener’s delight, The Victory Garden, the show will take you on a tour of the U.S.’s food heroes, from crab fishermen to urban farmers to renegade picklers to, presumably, some talented chefs preparing tantalizing meals at the deceptive distance of a camera lens. The results are sure to be mouth-watering — we recommend keeping a stock of farmers market half-sour pickles and locally drizzled artisanal chocolates on hand for emergency munchies.
