The eclipse that was Gore’s testimony blocked out the light in D.C., light that might otherwise have been shining on Climate Crisis Action Day, which took place Tuesday. Thankfully, the Post was on it.

An estimated 1,500 gathered to hear politicians, environmentalists, some cute kids, and people in polar bear costumes speak and rally for change.

"This is the challenge of our lifetimes," Sen. Bernard Sanders (I-Vt.) told the crowd. "Either we see the planet go down the tubes, or we reverse it."

The day also involved lobbying on the Hill and other activities to raise awareness on climate change in the capitol.
