This beautiful Malaysian moth, of the species Macrocilix maia, scoffs at the usual insect camouflage. “Oh, you’re a leaf? Challenging. Tell me again about your eyespots, those must have taken you FOREVER to evolve. Oh, this? Just a complex mural of two flies eating bird droppings. Yes, I do also smell like bird poop to add verisimilitude, thank you for noticing the little touches.”
