Pack up your kids and move to Queens. One public school there, Public School 244, has become the first in the city, possibly the country, to go vegetarian.

The school made the switch the smart way: gradually. Meat came off the menu for only three days a week at first, then for four, and finally for all five. We salute the genius who managed to get 400 kids into tofu and spinach wraps. Although we’re guessing pizza and grilled cheese, those staples of greasy school lunch everywhere, are still on the menu occasionally.
