I recently went on the MSNBC Shift show Greenhouse to talk with host/hair model Tony Dokoupil about an article I wrote a few weeks ago on the good news about the earthquake that will decimate the Pacific Northwest. The piece, which I thought was rather cheery, was not well received by New York Times blogger Andrew Revkin, who wrote that it was a “blithe listicle,” unworthy of the electrons required to display it.

Naturally, I disagreed, and Tony and I chatted about the place of humor in the face of disaster. Watch the video:
